Sleep, Sleep, Sleep

I love to sleep, do you love to sleep? However a few months ago it was very difficult for me to get enough sleep. Sounds like a contradiction right, I know but this was my reality in that season. When you are a mom, student, entrepreneur, employee, etc., getting enough may not be easy.

A few months ago in 2019, I was only getting 4 to 5 hours of sleep a day. This caused my hormones to become off-balance. I had my annual doctor's exam, usually my visits always end on a healthy note, but this time my blood work revealed that I was borderline anemic, and there were signs of hyperthyroidism. So I had to step back and take care of me. As a reseller/entrepreneur we can start work at anytime, but can find ourselves working long hours, without taking a nap or resting, because we have to be constantly on our feet. I realized when I wake up later in the morning which causes me not to take a nap. I feel sluggish all day, but when I wake up earlier and take a nap, I feel more energetic throughout the day.

After noticing waking up earlier was more beneficial to me. I went to bed at 10pm and got

up at 5am to meditate and begin my day. I also try my best to take a nap for 30 minutes or more in the afternoon. With this strategy and eating more leafy greens. I returned to my doctor for a retest of the bloodwork, and my numbers did improve without me taking any medications.

So I say to you, "Rest & you will be at your best"

All advice are my own. Thanks for the support.
